The WCC rides from April through September, both in urban areas and outside City limits in a rural setting. Some rides feature out-of-town Start Points; we encourage carpooling where practicable. There are a variety of rides weekly - please see the individual ride listings for more detail.
Each Spring, our Ride Schedule is posted to the website Event Calendar, which functions as the primary source of up-to-date Ride & Event information. Members are notified of changes, along with a Weekly Update email to advertise coming activities. Some ride and events require pre-registration.
Newer riders are encouraged to begin with our Wednesday rides, and then progress to Monday rides as they gain confidence and ability. Weekend Dayrides are typically more demanding, best suited to experienced and fit cyclists. Our Ride Ratings allows Members to determine which rides are appropriate for their skill and interest level. WCC rides are “NO DROP”, with an experienced cyclist assigned to ride "Sweep” to ensure that no riders are left behind.
Our Ride Schedule is available to Members only and is weather-permitting. When a ride is cancelled, Members are notified and the website updated. However, cancellations can and do occur at the last minute if unsafe conditions develop. Cancelled rides are not typically rescheduled.
Riders must have both a current WCC Membership and MCA License to ride with the Club, other than Try-Out rides. NO EXCEPTIONS.
