The WCC rides from April through September, in both urban and rural settings. Some rides feature out-of-town Meet Points; we encourage carpooling where practicable. There are a variety of rides weekly; see ndividual ride listings for more detail. All WCC rides are "dayrides"; that is, they start and end on the same day
The Club maintains a Ride Library to house our Club rides. Each Spring, our Ride Schedule is posted to the website Calendar, our primary source of current Ride & Event information. Members are sent a Weekly Update email to promote Club activities and changes. Some ride and events require prior SignUp.
Newer riders are encouraged to begin with our Wednesday rides, and then progress to Monday rides as they gain confidence and ability. Weekend Rides are typically more demanding, best suited to experienced and fit cyclists.
Ride Ratings allow Members to determine if a ride is appropriate for their ability levels. WCC rides are “NO DROP”, with an experienced cyclist assigned to ride "Sweep” to ensure no riders are left behind.
Our Ride Library & Ride Schedule are available to Members only. If a a ride has to be cancelled, Members are notified. However, cancellations can and do occur at the last minute if unsafe conditions develop. Cancelled rides are not typically rescheduled.
Riders must have both a current WCC Membership & MCA License to ride with the Club, other than Try-Out rides. NO EXCEPTIONS.
